Rochdale Walton Angling Society was established

RWAS take ownership of Healey dell
-
Buckley Wood Reservoir
In the 1980's the club lost our main lodge. The waterboard emptied the reservoir due to a damaged valve. It was never repaired and the other 2 waters were sold to Rochdale MBC. We now have a 20 year lease to fish the 2 remaining waters. -

Disabled Grant for Healey dell
The club managed to obtain a grant for Healey dell to replace 5 pegs to make them wheelchair friendly -

The club install a new fence at Syke to protect members and make the water safer -

Major bank improvement work
We undertook a major bank improvement work at Healey dell. This was helped by a grant from the Angling trust and lead by Mark Holland and his team of helpers. -

Increased the Number of disabled pegs on Healey dell
With the grant we were also able to increase the number of Disabled / family pegs at Healey Dell.

Adult and Child safeguarding course

Failure to completed these will result in application being withdrawn.
